Pattern #2618

Size: Bust 34"

This pattern was published by The Pictorial Review Co. Originally the pattern was described as "Ladies' Baby Princess Gown, with Long Shoulder Effect and Elbow Sleeves". The No. 2618 pattern is described with three others as "Princess Costumes of Attractive Design", on page 10 of the January 1908 issue of Pictorial Review magazine, "No. 2618 is one of the newest and prettiest designs in the Baby Princess gown, with long shoulder effect and elbow sleeves. It has an attached circular skirt with panel front and habit back [inverted pleats that meet at center back], and comes in the sweep or round length. Developed in ruby chiffon velvet over a Duchesse lace blouse this would be a very beautiful dress, but broadcloth, silk, or novelty clothes or voiles could be used with equally good effect."

The envelope was damaged and the instructions were missing from the lower half. Since the instructions were missing, this is the one time we provide edited step-by-step written instructions for construction and images of a quick mock-up of the full front, full back, bodice front, and bodice back. We also created a layout of the Duchesse lace blouse and Princess gown using 44" wide fabric.

Materials required in 44" width: 5-1/4 Yds. Princess gown, 2-1/2 Yds. of Duchesse lace.

Cost: $18.00
