The Vintage Revivals patterns are only one size; the original size. The pattern envelope, instructions and pattern pieces are unedited. The older the pattern the more likely it is to have limited instructions. The patterns are printed on blue line paper and packaged in plastic. |

Pattern #5188: Misses' Dress with Pleated Skirt: Dated 1941 Size: 32" bust, 27" waist, 35" hips. This pattern was published by The du-Barry Pattern Company. It was originally described as "Misses' Dress. Front of blouse is top-stitched to yoke forming pockets at each side; link buttoned closing and fold back revers. The bias cut skirt is gathered to skirt yoke, front and back. Style 1 has short sleeves, which are gathered at lower edge and finished with a sleeve band. Style 2 has long sleeves." Detailed illustrated directions. Pattern dated 1941. Suggested fabrics: Silk crepe, rayon, sharkskin, shantung, faille, rough crepe, surah, sheer wool, twill, wool jersey, chambray, broadcloth, linen, gingham, percale, and pique. The colors were red, navy, black, cadet blue, aqua blue, pastel rose, misty rose, royal blue, scarlet, henna rust, and kelly green. Materials required: 3-1/4Yds. 36" fabric.
