Saundra Ros Altman's: Past Patterns

#5830: Fancy Suit: Circa 1915-1917

The Vintage Revivals patterns are only one size; the original size. The pattern envelope, instructions and pattern pieces are unedited. The older the pattern the more likely it is to have limited instructions. The patterns are printed on blue line paper and packaged in plastic.

#5830: Fancy Suit: Circa 1915-1917

Size: 36" bust, 41" hips.

This pattern was published by the Pictorial Review Pattern Company. Originally the pattern was described as, "Ladies' Costume with sleeveless lining, open neck and attached two piece flare skirt straight or rounded at lower back edge with three piece foundation (plaited at lower edge), high waistline and in regulation or shorter length, semi-fitted outside having long one piece sleeves, with or without cuffs and attached two piece circular tunic. Length of skirt in front from natural waistline 42, back 44 inches: perforated for 40inches front, 42 inches back. Width around lower edge about 2 yards."

Written instructions are made easier by numbers and notches that match on the pattern pieces. The pattern contains sixteen pieces.
