Saundra Ros Altman's: Past Patterns

The Vintage Revivals patterns are only one size; the original size. The pattern envelope, instructions and pattern pieces are unedited. The older the pattern the more likely it is to have limited instructions. The patterns are printed on blue line paper and packaged in plastic.

Size: 38" bust, 41" hips.

This pattern was published by The Ladies Home Journal Pattern Company. Originally the pattern was described as "Ladies' and Misses' step-in combination, with pointed outline at top attached shoulder straps and two-piece circular insets at each side. Upper part and lower part of front and back are perforated for lace." Detailed directions. Pattern dates circa 1928-1929.

Suggested fabrics: Step-in combinations were made of silk pongee, searslip cloth, glove silk, crepe de chine, rayon, tub silk, radium silk and mercerized jersey. The colors were flesh, white or tan..
